Samantha & David | Hollowbrook Highland Wedding

Samantha and David had a truly wholesome wedding day, filled with love and joy from beginning to end. Each of their family members played a significant role in making their day extra special and memorable. Samantha’s two sisters beautifully did her hair, while her aunt graciously applied her makeup. Additionally, David’s father performed the heartfelt ceremony, and their close friend stepped in as their wedding videographer, capturing precious moments throughout the day. One of my favourite moments was finding Samantha’s mother lovingly doing her father’s hair underneath the large willow tree. Later in the evening, the excitement was palpable as the couple delightedly pet some Highland cows. I also experienced the deeply meaningful tradition of washing of the feet for the first time, and it was a beautiful and intimate experience. For me, this ritual was incredibly emotional; you could genuinely feel the deep love they shared for each other and for their parents. Every wedding has its own unique story, but this one truly stood out as one of my absolute favourites.

Maddy & Cam | Cobourg Wedding at The Mill & Victoria Hall

I met these two through their giant friend group of whom I’ve photographed 6 couples weddings. It was my first time officially meeting them on their wedding day and when I walked into their beautiful home to photograph them getting ready I could tell right away it was going to be a heartfelt and emotional day. They each got ready in their home, hiding from one another until they had their first look. They headed off to Victoria Hall in Cobourg for an intimate ceremony with only a select few and then we went on an adventure to the Cobourg marina for some couples portraits, stopping along the way. Afterwords they had a lovely dinner with some extended family and friends at The Mill. The highlight of the evening for me was the quirky and fun father-daughter dance; they sung a silly song together and their connection was evident, so much so I cried.

Sometimes it feels surreal to be a part of so many joyous days. This one was one of my favourites of 2024.

Brittany & Rorey | Polmenna Barn Wedding

Polmenna Barn stands as a charming haven, with high ceilings and wooden siding that lets the light from outside sneak in between the cracks, creating a gently glow during the reception. With grazing horses, fields of long grass, and a beautiful roadway of tall trees, this venue sets the stage for a romantic and rustic day.

Rorey got ready at the cutest AirBnB where they grilled burgers, shared cigars and drank beers. Brittany got ready in the old homestead on the property of Polmenna Barn, which provided an idyllic space for her and her girls to drink champagne, share a first look and just spend some time together. They said their vows under the willow tree nestled out front of the old home and then proceeded to the beautiful barn for the reception where they danced the night away.

Aidan & Haley | Penryn Park Wedding

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Penryn Park in Port Hope is the most romantic wedding venue I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing at. I just love the vintage vibe of the old mansion, and all of the amazing beautiful spots around the property. Each time I’m there I discover a new amazing corner.

Aidan and Haley had the most romantic day with the biggest party afterwords and I never wanted to leave. I can go on forever about just how wonderful this day was but instead I’ll share all the amazing vendors which helped make this day so special; just incase you’re looking for your own special day.

Wedding Portraits in a Classic Car

I recently had the pleasure of photographing these two who had the idea for a styled wedding shoot. They skipped the traditions and big dinner party and celebrated together with a really fun and glamorous session. Our centrepiece was a red 1960’s Corvair convertible which was parked in a field with the sun setting behind. The thought of every last detail from the unique outfits, sunglasses, champagne, and custom rings. Sometimes the light is just right, the sunsets perfectly and even the moon comes out to play.

I totally clicked with these two and can’t wait to connect again in the future. Not only did they make all my vintage dreams come true, but I totally clicked with these two and cannot wait until we connect again in the future.

Kate & Mac - Inn on the Twenty Wedding

When I asked Mac what he admired most about Kate he gave me the longest most beautiful answer, within his answer he wrote “Her thoughtfulness….. I think this thoughtfulness is deeply tied to her profound sense of sentimentality. She loves moments (big and small) and works tirelessly to make them special for herself and the people she loves. No matter what she has going on, she makes time to care for all the little details needed to transform a passing event into a meaningful, life lasting memory.”

This is exactly what Kate and Mac accomplished, with each passing moment, they stopped to take it all in and let their emotions run wild. When I delivered their sneak peek and told them how lovely their day was Kate said “ The goal was to have the day feel like a big warm hug”. It really did feel like a big warm hug, one that I wont forget.

Jenn & Ryan | Parkwood Estate & 12welve Bistro Wedding

Jenn & Ryan had a small and intimate celebration with just their closest friends and family. They had their ceremony at Parkwood Estate, it was my first time there and it sure didn’t disappoint, then they danced the night away at 12welve Bistro.

Every wedding I photograph has a unique element or something just a little extra special that I always remember fondly. On this day, Jenn took a short break between the ceremony and the reception to get a hair cut! She had been growing it for the big day but was excited to chop off all that extra and feel a weight lifted literally off her shoulders. Hair cuts can symbolize a new beginning and I really felt like this helped turn the page of that new and exciting chapter for her. Looking back though I think my favourite moment of the night was when Jenn had a mother-daughter-grandmother dance. They were so in the moment together, and for me, getting to document things like this is why I love what I do.
